Earnestine Taylor

Earnestine Taylor, age 98, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on December 5, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on December 17, 1926, in Wetumka, Oklahoma, to Earnie and Alma Feazel. A woman of quiet strength and deep kindness, Earnestine lived a full and faithful life that touched everyone who knew her. She grew up in Seminole, Oklahoma, where she later began married life with her beloved husband, Billy Gene Taylor. Together they eventually made Tulsa their home, and later enjoyed their retirement years at Lake Hudson in Adair, Oklahoma. Earnestine spent many years as an office manager for Chandler, Frates and Reitz Insurance Agency, a role that brought her deep fulfillment. She was a past president of the Tulsa Insurance Women's Club. She felt honored to be part of the era when women were stepping confidently into professional roles and she saw her work as her own contribution to that movement. Her kind demeanor and unwavering work ethic blessed everyone she worked alongside. She had many joys in life: tap dancing, gardening, anything chocolate, and cheering on her favorite college football teams. But above all, it was her heart that stood out. People often described her as one of the sweetest, most considerate women they had ever met. Her life rule, "Always be considerate of other people and try to not purposely hurt anyone," was more than just words. She lived by it daily. Her sister and close family lovingly called her "Teeny," a nickname that matched her gentle, gracious nature. Earnestine was a charter member of South Grand Lake Christian Church, where her faith found a home and her service blessed many. She enjoyed being part of the church's gardening and quilting clubs, helping with church potlucks, and serving as the church historian, preserving the stories and memories of the congregation. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earnie and Alma Feazel; her sister, Bonnie Jean Doolittle; and her husband, Billy Gene Taylor. She is survived by her son, Charles "Chuck" Taylor; her granddaughter, Heather Warden, and husband David; and her great-grandchildren, Emma Warden and Chase Warden, each of whom brought her tremendous pride and joy. The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the staff of Millennium Home Health Care and Town Village for their exceptional care, kindness, and devotion to Earnestine and her family. A graveside service will be held privately for the family to honor her memory.
