Philip W. Livingston

On this 19th day of July ,2018, I, Philip W. Livingston went on my final extended vacation. I was born on April 6,1946 to William G. and Stelline S. Livingston in Greenville, Mississippi. I was survived by my loving wife of almost 14years, Janie S. Livingston who was a God send after losing my first wife of 36 years, Karen A. Livingston to breast cancer. Both of my loving wives were like beacons of light to me as I paddled aimlessly through unchartered waters. My other surviving loving family are: Tina R. Townsend, daughter, her husband Michael, their three children Courtney, Jessica, and Whitney; Theresa D. Ellis, daughter, her husband Dustin, their two children Danner and Kallen; Doug Orr, stepson, his wife Hayley, their four children Oliva, Chase, Pepper and Beckham; Derek Orr, stepson, his wife Elora, their two children Hayden and Abigail; Billy Guy Livingston, brother, and his wife Patricia; Geoff Livingston, nephew, and his wife, Dori; niece, Aimee Russell, and her husband, John. Lastly, I was survived by the sweetest little Cairn Terrier in the world, Lucie Livingston. I was the luckiest man in the world having loved and being loved by two of the most wonderful women in the universe. After being raised in Greenville attending St. Joseph High School and receiving a football scholarship to the University of Arkansas, I graduated in 1970 from the School of Business and commenced my 40 year career in oil, gas, exploration, drilling and production with Texaco, Inc. in Tulsa for two years. I spent 11 years with Apache Corp., four years with Vintage Petroleum, three years with my own company, and 20 years with Unit Corporation. Retiring from Unit in 2010, my marvelous wife, Janie, and I spent the remainder of our happy years enjoying life and all it had to offer. With 11 grandchildren and four children and/or step children, the time went quickly. Other pastimes were traveling, boating at Grand Lake, hunting of all types, especially whitetail deer (I began deer hunting at the age of 8), fishing and an occasional Captain Morgan with diet coke. Life was great! As someone once said: "Live every day as if it is your last and one of days you will be right". As my parting words, I would like to say I love each and every one reading this sign off. Everyone be happy and in lieu of flowers, please hug those you love every day. It's been a nice journey. If you do choose to donate in addition to hugs, my family wishes for all donations to be made to Clarehouse. My family would also like to thank both Clarehouse and Seasons Hospice for their compassionate care so I can enjoy my extended vacation. For those who don't have anything better to do, there will be a memorial service at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, 3612 E. 91st Street, Tulsa, on Wednesday, the 25th day of July, 2018 at 10:00 A.M.
