Antoinetta Marie Wolf McKenna

December 25, 1917 - March 19, 2009

Antoinetta Marie Wolf "Toni" McKenna was born on Christmas Day 1917 in Quanah, Texas to Jacob and Elizabeth Cecilia Otto Wolf. She was the widow of John T. McKenna, who was a Manager for Warren Petroleum Corporation. A registered nurse, Antoinetta was trained at St. Paul's Hospital in Dallas, Texas and worked in Wichita Falls. She and John moved to Tulsa in 1947 with Bethlehem Steel. She was an active member of Madalene Parish for over 50 years with homeroom mother and Scouting involvement for her four kids. She moved to Kansas City in 2006, living near her 2 daughters for two years. She returned to Tulsa in August 2008, when it was learned she had multiple myeloma. An energetic, loving and supportive mother, Toni swam at the Tulsa YMCA for 40 years and never let arthritis show her down. She was practical and tough, yet a gracious caring lady who welcomed visitors and family with a warm smile, great cooking and much love. She is survived by her brother Jim Wolf of Borger, TX, four children: Marianne and Lowell Kennedy of Tulsa, OK, Eileen and Kaler Bole of Kansas City, MO, Karen Debrick of Prairie Village, KS, and Brian T. McKenna, M.D., of St. Louis, MO; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Contributions in Antoinetta's memory can be made to Madalene Emergency Assistance Fund, 3188 E 22nd Place, Tulsa, OK 74114. Visitation was Wednesday and Thursday, March 25th and 26th, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Rosary was at 7 p.m., Thursday, at Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 27, at Church of the Madalene. Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery. FITZGERALD IVY CHAPEL 918-585-1151
