Elvida Smith

April 7, 1931 - January 26, 2022

Elvida Josephine Smith, 90, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away January 26, 2022. Elvida was born in Tulsa to Jesse and Perla Acosta on April 7th, 1931. She was one of twelve children. She married her loving husband Carl Ray Smith on November 14, 1951. She worked as a Blue Girl at St. Johns Hospital then at Zebco Motorguide for the majority of her years. Elvida loved working, donuts, eating out, casinos, and being around her family and friends. Her Sunday and holiday meals will be missed. Elvida is survived by two daughters, Carolyn and husband Hank Beck and Karen and husband Dr. David Young; grandchildren Bella Young, Boone Young, and Kevin and wife Laura Smith; great grandchildren, Warren, Lily and Danielle Smith; sisters and brothers, Flora, Susie, Frank and Raymond; as well as many nephews and nieces. Elvida is preceded in death by her husband Carl Smith; her parents, Jesse and Perla Acosta; and siblings, Jesse and Ernest Acosta. Rosary will be Friday, February 4th at 7:30pm at Fitzgerald Funeral Home Chapel, 1402 S. Boulder Ave, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74119. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 5th at 11:00am at St. Pius Catholic Church, 1727 S. 75th East Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74112. Graveside service will immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery, 9101 S. Harvard Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74137.
