Joyce Elaine Rambo

January 24, 1948 - January 29, 2022

Joyce "Elaine" Rambo was born in Hominy, Oklahoma on the 24th of January, 1948. She died on January 29, 2022, at home surrounded by family. During her school years Elaine had a talent for dancing, acting, writing for the school newspaper and helping to put together the yearbook. After high school, she attended Oklahoma State University, and a few years later she married her high school sweetheart, Carl Rambo, in 1968. After marriage, Elaine became a homemaker and a mother. She was an excellent cook and an impressive seamstress, and any event she planned always turned out to be beautiful. She was smart, sharp and funny, an avid reader and an enthusiastic traveler, and a naturally entertaining storyteller. Elaine is preceded in death by her husband Carl Rambo, her mother Evelyn Payne, her father William Payne, and her brother Billy Ray Payne. She is survived by: her three children, Crystal Smith, Devon Rambo, and Amber Medlock; her grandchildren Breanna, Czessia, Ana, Rin, Emmy, Wyatt, Aurelia, Zayia; and family members Charles, Arnold, and Clarence Begay.
