Katie Vaghaiwalla George

August 21, 1985 - February 11, 2022

Katie Leigh Vaghaiwalla George, age 36, died on February 11, 2022, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Katie was born on August 21,1985 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to parents Teresa O'Rourke and Veeraf Vaghaiwalla. In school, she was involved in cheer and lacrosse. She graduated from Oviedo High School in the class of 2004, then furthered her education by obtaining a certificate in Phlebotomy and Medical Assisting. She continued on to work in various medical offices, as she was passionate about patient care and always strived to ensure her patients had a positive experience. On October 6, 2012, she married the love of her life, Damon George, and they made their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Katie was very artistic and enjoyed crocheting and painting as hobbies. She was an extremely genuine person, who was able to bring comfort to those suffering around her. She was kind, compassionate, and had the biggest heart. She always had a soft spot in her heart for animals, and it was her dream to start an animal rescue organization. She loved her fur babies, Izzy and Teddy, like children. Her family and friends will always remember that she was always present in the moment, she enjoyed the little things in life, her affectionate nature, and how she would endlessly giggle about the silliest of things. She is survived by her husband, Damon George, her mother, Teresa O'Rourke, her father, Veeraf Vaghaiwalla, her brothers, David and Michael Vaghaiwalla, her sister in law Meghan Vaghaiwalla, her uncles Stephen, Paul, Don, Sean, David, Uncle Duayne Driscoll, and Bryan O'Rourke, Rusi Vaghaiwalla, Minoo, Noshir, and Adi Dutia, her aunts Sherry O'Rourke, Michelle Pilant,Shernaz Vaghaiwalla, Roshan Elavia, Behroze, Kashmira, and Gool Dutia, her cousins Diane Jenkner, Kayras Elavia, Vistasp Elavia, Zubin Dutia, Anne Dutia, Tanaz Dutia, Farzad Dutia, Roxanne Dutia, Rushad Dutia, Jobe Patterson, Stacy O'Rourke, and Joey O'Rourke, her nieces Mary and Kira, and her nephews Patrick, Zac, and Cameron. She is preceded in death by her sister Stephanie Vaghaiwalla, her maternal grandparents Mary Catherine Allbritton and Don O'Rourke Sr., her paternal grandparents Alamai Vaghaiwalla and Hormusji Vaghaiwalla, her great uncle Father Paul Gallatin, and her great grandmother Esther Gallatin. Flowers and/or memorial donations can be sent to Fitzgerald Funeral Services at 3612 E 91st St, Tulsa, OK 74137.
