Lucille Ebert Seiter, 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 30, 2023 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Lucille Mildred Ebert was born on August 16, 1930 in Schertz, Texas to William Ernest Ebert and Millie Minnie Marbach Ebert. She grew up in Schertz, Texas and attended Texas Lutheran College and Southwest Texas State University. She earned her nursing degree from Brackenridge Hospital, Austin, Texas in 1953. As a registered nurse she worked in surgery and after raising her family returned to nursing in home health care and the American Red Cross.
She met the love of her life, Albert "Al" Wilber Seiter, during a Paul Jones dance where she introduced herself as Mary Jane, in case he wasn't as good as he looked. They were married June 28, 1953 and spent over 60 years together raising three children in Austin, Texas. They moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2008 to be closer to family and became active members in the Montereau Retirement Community. Lu always had a smile for everyone and expressed the love and grace she had from her Lord and Savior.
Lu is preceded in death by her husband, parents and only sibling Nell Reinke. She is survived by daughter, Susan Effron and husband, Bill of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Two sons, Thomas W Seiter of Westcliffe, CO and David A Seiter and wife, Tammie of Magnolia, TX. "Nannie" adored her seven grandchildren, Emily Effron Honomichl, Lauren Effron Shepard, Ashley Effron Dvorak, Marissa Seiter, Jacob Seiter, Madison Seiter, Chelsea Seiter-Weatherford and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, April 12 at 11:00 am at Mason Chapel, Asbury Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The service will be streamed online at <

Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park on Friday, April 14 at 12:00 noon in San Antonio, Texas.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethany Memorial Fund at Bethany United Methodist Church, 10010 Anderson Mill Road, Austin, Texas 78750 where Lu and Al were founding members and served the Lord for over 30 years.
