Rich E. Blevins

September 17, 1936 - February 8, 2022

Born in Morningside Hospital, along with twin brother Ronald, to Vesta and Joe Blevins. Rich is a member of the Cherokee Nation, graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1954 and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1956. He served until honorably discharged in 1960. He attended University of Tulsa and worked at Oklahoma Natural Gas. He married Valietta King in 1962. He established Rich Blevins Commercial Insurance in 1964 and had a successful career as an insurance agent for 50 years. Rich developed 25 acres in South Tulsa called Council Oak Estates. He enjoyed playing tennis, becoming a charter member of Philcrest Hills Tennis Club. He loved to golf and fish at Grand Lake and Ketchikan, AK. Rich was pre-deceased by his parents, two brothers and daughter Kellie Blevins Kirk. He is survived by wife Valietta, son Richard, daughter Kendra, son-in-law Claude Kirk, grandchildren Lauren Kirk, Ash and Kendal Blevins. Services are graveside at Calvary Cemetery at 11am on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022.
