In Loving Memory of Alexander "Chano" Puentes
It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Alexander Puentes, affectionately known as "Chano," who departed this world far too soon on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at the young age of 15.
Born on Monday, May 17, 2010, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Alexander was a radiant light in the lives of all who knew him. With a heart full of joy, a sense of humor that could brighten any room, and dance moves that never failed to impress, he brought laughter, love, and life everywhere he went.
Alexander was outgoing, kind-hearted, and deeply rooted in his faith. He had a passion for serving the Lord, sharing unforgettable moments with his cousins and tios, and being present for his friends with a generous and joyful spirit. His contagious smile and gentle soul left a lasting impression on everyone blessed to cross his path.
At his young age, Alexander was already being guided by his Tio Omar to be responsible, humble, and hardworking; to take pride in everything he did. And he did just that. He was a natural hard worker, full of life and dedication, and the jokester of the family... always ready with a quick-witted remark or a hilarious story. He served in multiple churches and attended various schools, and the one thing that never changed was how easily people gravitated toward him. His one-of-a-kind sense of humor, warm presence, and ability to make anyone feel like family were truly special.
The love he gave... whether to his family, friends, or even strangers was unmatched. His cousin Dylan was his other half, his built-in best friend, his twin in spirit. Their bond was unbreakable, and their friendship a beautiful reflection of brotherhood and joy.
Alexander was a devoted son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, and faithful servant of God. His presence was a gift to this world, and his absence leaves a void that can never be filled. He will always be remembered for his joyous smile, his friendly charisma, and the deep love he carried for everyone around him.
He is lovingly survived by his mother, Imelda Puentes; his siblings, Fernanda and Santi; his beloved abuelita, Paulina Valtierra; his tios, Omar and Rogelio Puentes; his tias, Deisy, Fanny, Maira, and Elisa; and his cousins: Melany, Brittany, Alan, Camila, Dylan, Mateo, Valentina, Yazlen, Sebastian, Maximiliano, Damian, Diego, Sofia, Natalia, Antonella, Esteban, Angel, Jose Maria, and an unborn cousin. He also leaves behind a large extended family and countless friends who cherished him.
All who knew and loved Alexander are invited to join in honoring his memory. In this time of deep grief, we lean on one another as a community united by faith, love, and the comfort of Jesus Christ.
Though his time on Earth was brief, Alexander's light will forever shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His spirit lives on in every memory, every laugh, and every prayer.
Rest in peace, Alexander. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
