Obituary

Alma Mae Florence Yaple was born on August 9, 1 923 in Larnard, Kansas.

She moved to San Diego, CA as a child and attended Grossmont High School where she was active in the marching band. She excelled at Home Ec especially in designing and making clothes. As a teen she and her sister Dorothy worked as hostesses at the USO in San Diego.

After her marriage to Willard Barker, the family moved to Tulsa, OK where the couple was employed at the Douglas Aircraft Co. They raised two children.

Alma was preceded in death by her beloved son Arthur Barker and her parents, Carl and Elizabeth Yaple, her twin brothers Carl and Charles Yaple and her Sister Dorothy Cox.

She is survived by her Daughter Edythe Brower, her grandchildren, Charles and James Roden, Julie Smith, Misty Vanaman and Delisa Dubois, and 9 great grandchildren.
Alma has chosen cremation and interment beside her beloved third husband Lester Huber, in Boulder Nevada.

A Memorial Service in her honor will be held at the Central Baptist Church, 9001 N. 145th East Ave. Owasso, OK, on Saturday February 19, at 2:00pm.
