Amanda Brooke Waltrip Cole, age 49, died on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Amanda was born on January 3, 1974, in Tulsa, OK, to parents Dianna Lyndsey Reed and Darrell Waltrip. She graduated from Union High School in the class of 1992, then furthered her education by obtaining a degree in Cosmetology from Broken Arrow School of Cosmetology. On September 18, 2008, she married Edward Cole, and they started their journey together. Moving where the Army stationed them, they made a home in many places. They began in San Antonio, Texas then overseas to Ansbach, Germany, returning to the states in Watertown, New York and then finally settling down back in their hometown of Tulsa. Amanda received much recognition and many awards for her support of spouses during Ed's deployment.
Amanda enjoyed cooking, listening and dancing to music, but most of all raising her son Landon. Her family and friends will always remember her as a beautiful and loving person who had a funny sense of humor.
Amanda is survived by Edward Cole (husband), Landon Cole (son), Blake Cole (step-son) & wife Kayla, Tanner Cole (step-son) & wife Alyssa, Leonard & Dianna Reed (mother & step-father) and brother Jay Stanfield (brother). She leaves behind seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Amanda is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Stella Jane Smith.
A funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Fitzgerald Funeral Home chapel. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery following the service. Flowers and/or memorial donations can be sent to Fitzgerald Funeral Home.
