Amanda Gayle Ham, resident of Kiefer, OK, formerly of Lexington, KY, passed away on June 11, 2018 at the age of 37 years. Amanda was raised in the Bluegrass of Central Kentucky. She learned from her beloved Nana, Papaw, Grandmommy and Granddaddy, the scriptural imperative, to offer a hand and her heart to those in need. As, she grew first into a woman, then to steadfast motherhood and sisterhood in Tulsa, she always stood ready to speak her truth.
Amanda was bright, brilliant, and tenacious, a dreamer of things to come. She was a lifelong musician and accomplished guitarist. Amanda was an avid reader and natural philosopher who was never afraid to ask "Why?"
She will be sadly missed by her family and large circle of friends who loved her as she loved them with all her heart. Left to cherish her memories is her most loved and precious daughter Aislyn Gayle Petty, father Robert Ham, sisters Rachel Motte and Susan Brown, maternal grandmother Gayle Williams, paternal grandparents Rev. Carl and Jean Ham, maternal uncle Theron Williams, nephews Hagin and John Motte, and niece Robyn Brown. She was preceded in death by her mother Robyn Williams Ham, brother Samuel Andrew Wesley Ham, grandfather R.A. Williams, and her uncle Mark Williams.
Visitation with family and friends will begin at 6 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to The National Kidney Foundation.
