Amy was born in Englewood, NJ to Avis Nystrom Arnoldi and Charles H. Arnoldi, Jr. She graduated from Millburn (NJ) High School and attended college at Marietta College and the University of Oklahoma. Amy received a Bachelor of Arts degree in French with a teaching certificate from the University of Oklahoma in 1976. She taught for a period of time. Amy also worked as a secretary for an engineering company. She returned to her hometown and worked as a librarian at the Millburn Public Library for many years. She was active in her church, Community Congregational Church of Short Hills. In her later years, she moved to Oklahoma to be closer to her brother Jeff Arnoldi and sister Karen Costello. Her sister Janice, her mother, and father preceded Amy in death. Amy will be buried at the Community Congregational Church in Short Hills.
