Angelo Corsino 'Andy' Bidasio
Angelo C. 'Andy' Bidasio, 100, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma was received into the loving arms of Our Lord on Monday, December 12, 2016
Born December 3, 1916 in Oglesby, Illinois, he retired after 42 years with American Airlines and was the oldest original AA Pioneer having begun his aviation career at Midway Airport of Chicago in 1936.
Angelo wed his sweetheart, Mary Elizabeth Corgiat of Spring Valley, Illinois on June 6, 1942. Together they raised 3 children, a daughter, Charlene Bidasio Miers, who preceded him in death, and 2 sons.
Angelo is survived by his wife, Mary E. Bidasio; sons, John (Linda) Bidasio and Robert Bidasio; son-in-law, Sheppard F. Miers Jr.; grandchildren, Sheppard F. (Kristi) Miers III, Meredith Miers, Megan Miers, Carina (Ramon Lopez) Bidasio, and Adriana (Chris) Ames; great-grandchildren, Sheppard F. Miers IV, Vivian Miers, Carter Miers, and Joaquin Lopez; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Angelo was a member of the American Airlines Three Diamond Society and Knights of Columbus. He was active in Little League baseball and Boy Scouts of America. He was a very active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and a dedicated 33-year volunteer for Catholic Charities in the Tulsa Diocese, receiving the prestigious Lumen Christi award for his service.
Visitation will be 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2016 at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel. Rosary 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Funeral services will be 10 AM, Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1727 S 75th E Ave, Tulsa.
