HARRIS - Anita Mae, 87, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend passed away unexpectedly Friday, October 23, 2009. Anita was born on May 6, 1922, in Oklahoma City, OK to Anna and Frank Moore and grew up in Holdenville, OK. She met her future husband, Jesse M. Harris, Jr. while they were in grade school. They married May 29, 1948, and she was preceded by his death in 2008. The other loves of her life were her Catholic faith, her children and grandchildren, vegetable gardening, Notre Dame and OU football and playing the organ. She is survived by: daughters, Patti Harris, Tulsa, OK and Suzanne Harris Bodell (Ian), Nashville, TN; son, Greg Harris (Joan), Flower Mound, TX; grandchildren, Katy and Allen Harris; Sean and Kelly Bodell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to "Charitable Needs" at St. Pius X Catholic Church where Jesse and Anita were members for 48 years.
