Anita Cerboni Ianieri, age 90, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
Anita was born on July 6, 1936, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Leticia and Galiano Cerboni. She attended Divine Providence High School, where she discovered a love and talent for singing opera. Music remained an important part of her life, and after moving to Tulsa, she continued to pursue that passion by singing in the chorus of the Tulsa Opera.
Anita was deeply proud of her Italian heritage, something she shared with her family in many ways, but perhaps most memorably through her cooking. She was a wonderful cook, and gathering family around the table was one of the ways she expressed her love and kept family traditions alive.
Above all, Anita was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She was the mother of David Ianieri, Lisa Zurawik and her husband, Jack, and Gina Crowley and her husband, Kevin. She was especially proud of her five grandchildren, Alex Zurawik; Joey Zurawik and his wife, Bailey; Ian Crowley; Dominic Ianieri; and Emily Crowley.
Anita was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert J. Ianieri, and her sister, Aurora Pelleschi.
She leaves behind a family who will remember her love, her voice, her Italian traditions, the meals she lovingly prepared, and the many memories created around her table. Her greatest legacy is the family she loved so deeply.
