Anna Louise Drouillard, 92 years old, died on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she lived for most of her life. Anna was born on August 11, 1921 in Coffeyville, Kansas to John A. and Rosa M. Brinkman. She and husband, Charles, had nine children. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Charles and two sons, Anthony and Charles Myron.
Anna was known for her love of flowers, birds and gardening. She enjoyed sharing the secrets of her gardening success and frequently gave plant starts to anyone who would enjoy them.
A devout Catholic, she served her church where ever needed. Anna had many sweet relationships with elderly friends throughout her life. She enjoyed visiting them, running errands, fixing their hair and giving them rides to church.
After earning an associate degree from Coffeyville Junior College, Anna taught school. She and Charles married in Coffeyville, Kansas on April 26, 1943 at Holy Name Catholic Church.
Anna is survived by her children and their families: John Drouillard, Linda Day, Judy Azadi, Renee Stowers, Anita Groom, Pamela Rader, Michelle Spurling; 23 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Also surviving her are sisters, Teresa Kemmerer and Rosie Robertson, and a brother, Joseph Brinkman.
Anna was dearly loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
Viewing is 10:00 am-5:00 pm and Rosary at 6:00 pm, both Monday, March 17, at Moore Eastlawn Funeral Chapel, 19th and South Memorial, Tulsa. Funeral Mass is 10:00 am, Tuesday, March 18, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 2720 South 129th East Ave, Tulsa, with 3 pm Internment at Calvary Cemetery in Coffeyville, Kansas.
