Anthony "Tony" Lechtenberg, age 83, completed his earthly mission on August 16, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Tony was born on August 30, 1942, in Little Rock, Arkansas, and was raised in Ponca City, Oklahoma, by his parents, Anthony A. and Josephine Lechtenberg. He was the oldest of four children.

Following his high school graduation, Tony enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served as a Radarman Second Class. After his retirement from the Navy, Tony attended Oklahoma State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering.

Tony married Sharon Simmons on January 27, 1968. Together, Tony and Sharon had two children, Todd Lechtenberg and Sarah Arp. The family spent some time in Iowa before eventually returning to Oklahoma, where Tony and Sharon have remained since.

Tony was extremely involved in the Knights of Columbus. Throughout his years of service, he held numerous leadership positions, including Grand Knight, Faithful Navigator, District Deputy, and District Marshal. He was always willing to help with whatever job was needed and gave generously of his time and talents to the organization.

Tony also loved to golf. In his later years, he spent much of his time at The Links in Bixby, where he enjoyed fixing golf carts and playing as many rounds of golf as he could. He loved to share the game with his family, many of whom he taught to play.

Tony is predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Josephine, and his son, Todd. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughter, Sarah Arp (Tom); Tawana Holton, mother of his grandchildren Paige, Jack, and Luke; brothers, Dave (Beverly) Lechtenberg and Fred Lechtenberg; sister, Susie Grant; and grandchildren, Paige Listen (Zak), Jack Lechtenberg (Annie), Luke Lechtenberg, Abby Arp, Lucy Arp, and Jake Arp.

There will be a rosary at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, August 21, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Tulsa, followed by a funeral Mass at 1 p.m.
