Arnold Junger, 82, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 14, 2016. Born on May 22, 1934 in Wichita, he built a life in Tulsa with his wife and children. He had a successful career in steel sales with C.A.Roberts and Jorgensen Steel. He was with the company for over 30 years. He retired at 65 to enjoy time with his wife and growing family.
Arnold enjoyed spending time with his siblings and nieces and nephews. He loved going on annual fishing trips, spending countless afternoons on the farm and growing his annual garden He loved homegrown tomatoes!
Arnold was preceded in death by: his parents, Arnold and Beatrice Junger; brothers, Walter Junger, Ralph Junger and James Junger; sisters, Loretta Junger, Agnes Larkin and Mary Overstreet. Arnold is survived by: his wife Jean; his children, Christina Hardway and husband Jim, Amy Putman and husband Steve, Philip Junger and wife Amy, and Andrew Junger and wife Chelsea; siblings, Anna Follett, Arthur Junger and Robert Junger; grandchildren, Christopher Huddle and wife Niki, Lauren Huddle, Julia Huddle, Emily Hardway, Benjamin Putman, Olivia Junger, Joseph Junger, James Junger, Elliot Junger, Zoey Junger, Hazel Junger, and Piper Junger; step-granddaughters, Mackenzie Hardway and Ashleigh Hardway; and great-granddaughter Luna Huddle.
Vigil service will be at 7 pm, Sunday, at the Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel, 14th and South Boulder Avenue. Funeral mass will be on Monday at 10 am, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 16th and South Quincy, Tulsa.Donations in his honor may be sent to the American Heart Association, Holy Family Cathedral School, Marquette Catholic School or Bishop Kelley High School.
