It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Arthur R. Fox of Miami, Florida. He passed away peacefully on March 25th, 2023 at the age of 74.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn K. Fox, his father Israel Fox, and his brother Stuart H. Fox. He is survived by his brother Robert E. Fox of Salt Lake City. He is also survived by his niece Jennifer Fox Louvaris of Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Arthur was born on April 5th, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland. He had a deep passion for life and was always eager to explore the world around him. He grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and graduated from Edison HS. He graduated from University of Oklahoma with a degree in biology and chemistry, and soon after graduated from the University of Texas with a masters in biomedical sciences and epidemilogy. He had a successful career in medical toxicology serving veterans. He also worked at specialized labs in Southern Florida where he excelled in his work and quickly rose up the ranks. His latest accomplishments were in PCR diagnosis of viral diseases using state of the art technology in atomic absorption spectrophotometry.
However, in 2021, Arthur was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Despite this devastating news, he remained determined to live his life to the fullest and to conquer the disease. He sought out the best medical treatment, participated in clinical trials, and never gave up hope.
Through all the ups and downs, Arthur never lost his positive attitude and zest for life. He continued to travel, explore new hobbies, and spend time with his loved ones. He inspired everyone he met with his strength, courage, and resilience.
Sadly, his battle with Parkinson's came to an end in March of 2023, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew him.
We take comfort in knowing that Arthur is now at peace and no longer suffering. We will always remember him as a kind, loving, and brave soul who never gave up on his dreams. May he rest in peace.
Graveside service will be Thursday, March 30, 2023, 11:30am, at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
