Arthur V. (Art) Johnson, Jr., age 79, died January 4, 2019, with family by his side. Mr. Johnson was employed in radio broadcasting for over twenty years, having worked at radio stations in the Tulsa area, Lawton and Wichita, KS. Before his retirement in 1989, he had been a buyer for Tulsa Tobacco Company. After his retirement he was a part time employee of Mark Griffith Memorial Funeral Homes of Tulsa and Sand Springs. He was past secretary and a Perpetual Member of Red Fork Masonic Lodge #505, a member of Scottish Rite Tulsa Consistory, Honorary Member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society and a member of Southern Hills United Methodist Church. He was active in Boy Scouts for several years, serving as Cubmaster for Pack 59 and Scoutmaster of Troop 17 Indian Nations Council, as well as being a member of Tulsa Auxiliary Police.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Judith, daughter Dana McKenzie of Tulsa; son Timothy and his wife Jennifer of Augusta, KS and Grandchildren, Rebecca, Emily, Melissa, Benjamin, Anna, Timothy, Jr., Kimber and David Arthur II. He was preceded in death by his youngest son, David. Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, and Visitation, 6-8 p.m., Monday, January 7 both at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to a charity of choice.
