Obituary

Arthur Michael "Mike" Macri passed away January 20th, 2022, at the age of 91. Mike was born in Elm Grove, West Virginia on November 9, 1930, to Maria Guiseppa "Josie" and Vincenzo Rocco "James" Macri. Mike is survived by oldest brother Pasquale Salvatore "Pat" Macri and youngest brother Phillip James "Jimmy" Macri, wife of 62 years Shirley Ann Macri, son Gary Michael Macri, and granddaughter Michela Macri, daughter Terry Macri Vitt and husband Lawrence Michael Vitt, granddaughter, Devin Ann Long and husband Jackson, and great granddaughter Aubrey Macri Long, granddaughter Bria Macri Talbot and husband Michael. Also, by marriage grandchildren Corey Michael Vitt and wife Sarah, Kalie Jo Meoli and husband Eric and great grand-daughter Kyra Mae Meoli.
Mike served in the United States Marine Corp where he drove a DUKW "Duck" an amphibious vehicle used to transport troops from the ship to the beach. Afterwards Mike and his brother Joe owned and operated a Pure Oil gas station in Huntington, WVA. Mike began his career in finance at Aetna and soon after marrying Shirley he accepted a management position in Clarksdale, MS. where son Gary was born. A couple years later Mike transferred to Tulsa and daughter Terry was born. Mike eventually owned and operated CBS Finance with partners Charlie, Bill and Skip. After several years Mike got into real estate and was owner/broker of Apex Realty. Maintaining his real estate business Mike went to work for Lincoln Life Insurance and earned his Certified Life Underwriter designation becoming an insurance and estate planning expert. Mike always had the highest sales numbers for his department, even at 80 when he finally retired.
Family time and Holidays were always important and cherished by Mike. The summertime family vacation was always back to West Virginia to visit family and friends. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Tulsa for years and served as President. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Mike loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman his entire life.
