Obituary

Barbara "Bobbie" Cook Thompson joined her family in heaven on November 26th in Broken Arrow, OK. She was born in Sapulpa, OK. On Jan. 29th, 1938 to Winifred and Elmer Cook. She graduated from Holy Family High School and went on to the University of Tulsa and joined the Tri Delta Sorority. She married George Thompson in 1959 and had 2 children. After raising her kids, she went back to college and earned a degree in business specializing in petroleum land management. She worked as a "landman" for several oil companies in Tulsa.
Bobbie loved the theater, ballet, music of all kinds and the fine arts. She loved to cook and entertain her family, especially during the holidays. She was a devout Catholic and had many lifelong friends. Even after her diagnosis of Alzheimer's and placement in a memory care facility, she could be heard humming and harmonizing. Those who knew her will remember how caring she was to her family and friends. She had a kind, generous nature and her smile, sweet disposition and mild manner will not be forgotten by those she touched.
Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents and sister. She is survived by her daughter Sabrina Hubert (Gary) of Olathe, KS, son George Thompson of Tulsa, OK, granddaughter Aubrey Stacey (Kyle) and great grandson Kolter of Wagoner, OK.
The family would like to thank all of those who cared for and visited mom especially in the last 6 months.
A rosary will be said at Holy Family Cathedral at 9:30am on December 9th before her funeral mass at 10:00am.
