Barbara Ress Rotenberg of Tulsa, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away at home on April 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 14, 1936, in New York City, Barbara was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Don Rotenberg, and her parents Kalman Ress and Anne Gutkin Ress.

Barbara is survived by her daughters Laura (Rotenberg) Yeager and husband Jeff of Pittsfield, MA, and Debi (Rotenberg) Heims and husband Steve of Sedona, AZ. She was fondly known as "Nanny" to her three cherished grandchildren Emily Yeager, Kalman Heims, and Danielle Heims. Additionally, she is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Lewis and Esta Ress of Florida, and her nephews, Dr. Andrew Ress of Florida and Dr. Bradford Ress of Montana.

Raised in Brooklyn, Barbara attended Midwood High School and graduated from Cornell University in 1957 with a BS in Science, majoring in Human Ecology. It was at Cornell where she met her husband, Don, beginning a lifelong journey together.

Barbara dedicated over 25 years to teaching at schools in New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. In 1989, Barbara and Don relocated to Tulsa, where Barbara became a docent at the Philbrook Museum. She established a monthly book club and enjoyed playing bridge and Mahjong regularly. Active in the Jewish community, Barbara was a member of Temple Israel for over 36 years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
