Bettie Jo (Ferguson) Heckenkemper was born in Claremore, Oklahoma, September 16, 1934. She passed away November 22, 2022.

Bettie graduated from Holy Family High School. She married John Heckenkemper April 1, 1953. They raised their family in Tulsa. She went to work for Getty Oil as an administrative assistant.

Bettie was an avid reader, artist, and kept a daily journal for years. She was always present for the kids' sporting events throughout their years at Marquette and Bishop Kelley.

Bettie was preceded in death by John, in 2021; sons, Timothy Heckenkemper and Tony Heckenkemper; and a daughter, Nan Edwards.

She is survived by her daughter, Jill Heckenkemper; sons, Chris Heckenkemper, Rick Heckenkemper (and Kim), and Greg Heckenkemper (and Shelley); 11 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother, David Harrison (and Carol), sister-in-law, Mary Lou LeBoeuf (and Ron); and 13 nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 5, 10:00 a.m., at Christ the King Catholic Church.
