Betty Lou (Lamoureaux) ZigrangJune 19, 1928-July 22, 2017, of Tulsa, Oklahoma

Beloved wife of Denis J. Zigrang for 69 years; loving mother and "Dr. Mom" for children, Larry, Mary Kay (deceased), Tricia, Leo, and Laurie; doting grandma to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; daughter of Leo and Evelyn Edgar Lamoureux; and graduate of St. Columskil High School in Varina, Iowa. Betty eschewed further educational opportunities to be wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; sacristan; teacher of Christian doctrine; cub scout leader and girl scout leader; St. John Hospital volunteer; church liturgy participant, particularly as reader and Eucharistic minister; and member of Christ the King, Immaculate Conception, and Holy Family Catholic Parishes, in Tulsa.Betty is survived her loving husband, Denis Zigrang, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and her 4 children: Larry (and Liz) Zigrang of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Tricia Zigrang of Portland, Oregon; Leo Zigrang of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Laurie (and Mike) Davie of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Also by her 12 grandchildren, Ericka (and James) Guinan, Terri (and Andy) Vajda, John (and Rachel) Zigrang, Katie Zigrang, Benjamin (and Kaitlyn) Zigrang, Sarah (and Joel) Katz, Jake Olsen, Gian Olsen, Ellie Davie, Evie Davie, Gordon Davie, and Malcolm Davie, and 10 great-grandchildren, including Chris Livingood, Marc Zigrang, Luc Zigrang, Ajax Zigrang, Isaac Vajda, Kallai Zigrang, Enoch Zigrang, and Nova Katz. Also her siblings: Art (and Jeannie) Lamoureux of Belmond, Iowa; Pat (and Emmet) Hammen of Storm Lake, Iowa; and Cheri (and Del) Conneally of Omaha, Nebraska, as well as her husband's siblings, Mary (and Rodell) Rusch of Los Angeles, California, and Frank Zigrang of Humboldt, Iowa. Betty is predeceased by her parents, Leo and Evelyn Lamoureux; her brother, Larry Lamoureux; her sister, Yvonne Higgins; and her daughter, Mary Kay Zigrang.
Rosary will be said on Thursday, July 27th, at 6:00 p.m. and Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, July 28th, both at Holy Family Cathedral, which is located at 8th and South Boulder Avenue, in Tulsa. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
