Buddy Leon Cole was born in St. Louis, MO on September 26, 1926 to Richard L. Cole and Alpha M. Cole, (nee Esselman). Buddy passed away on April 29, 2016 in Tulsa, OK surrounded by family members. He attended Tulsa Central High School. Buddy was a Draftsman for a 32 year career in the Oil Industry with Skelley Oil, then Getty Oil and Texaco Oil. Buddy was a convert to the Catholic faith, active in the Knights of Columbus council 1104, loved fishin and an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was a Loving father and grandfather and was always there to bring a smile to all who came in contact with him.
Buddy is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his five sons, Thomas Cole of St, Louis, MO, John Cole of Tulsa, Richard Cole and his wife Melissa of Tulsa, Joey Cole and his wife Angie of Tulsa and Ed Cole and his wife Amanda of Ft. Drum, NY. He was a proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel on Tuesday May 3rd from 5:00p – 7:00p followed by a Rosary Service at 7:00p. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 2:00p at the Church of the Madalene in Tulsa, reception following services. Burial will be on Friday at St. Mary's Cemetery in Missouri.
