Pete grew up in Cleveland OH and graduated from Washington and Lee University with a B.S. degree in 1957.
After serving in the Army in Berlin, Germany, he rejoined Arthur Andersen in Cleveland, OH, where he obtained his CPA certificate.
He married Sally Witt Cummins in Cleveland in 1965 and they began their life of relocation, the first member of either family to leave their hometown. They initially moved to Dayton, OH, then to Milwaukee, WI, then LaPorte, IN, Lake Forest IL and settled in Tulsa, OK in 1982. Along the way they adopted 2 children, Jennifer Lynn and John Ryan.
Pete was active in the Tulsa chapter of Financial Executive Institute, Tulsa University Friends of Finance and Montereau, his final home.
Surviving Pete is his two children, his 4 grandchildren, Kyle, Mahala, Aurora and Odessa, and three nieces, Betsy Williger, Barbi Lawrence and Linda Fuller.
Preceding Pete was his wife Sally and his brother John Henry Leininger from Aurora, OH.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 18th at 2pm at The Montereau Chapel, 6800 S. Granite Avenue, Tulsa, OK 74136.
