Carlos Octavio Rodriguez Fernandez, 45, passed away on January 19, 2021. Carlos was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela to Carlos Rodriguez and Edmee Fernandez on December 11, 1975. The family moved to Lawrence, Kansas in 1985. Carlos graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Sculpture. He was an accomplished musician, composer, sculptor and painter.

Carlos is survived by his mother Edmee, his sisters Edmee Carolina and Julia Esther, brothers-in-law Ryan and Aaron, nephew Kaelum, nieces. Elisa and Alexa, aunts Elleenn, Dulce, Merle, Cecilia, and Lilia, and uncles Remigio and Edgar, cousins Elleem, Eglee, Mariel, Maria Virginia (Piki), Angelica Maria, Mariangel, Lilimar, and Estefania and their families. He was preceded in death by his father Carlos Julio, abuela Semida, abuelo Remigio, and tia Eglee. He is lovingly remembered by many friends throughout Kansas, California, and Oklahoma.

Carlos's beautiful smile, quirky humor, and kind energy will be forever missed by everyone who knew him. Carlos is peacefully resting in the center of God's light and love.

Mass in his memory will be held Saturday March 27th at 10:00 a.m., at Church of the Resurrection, 4804 S Fulton Ave., Tulsa, OK 74135.
