Carmela Andriani, 88, passed away on August 19, 2017. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Pasquale Andriani and daughter, Rosemary Calleo. She was born and raised in NYC of Italian heritage for which she was very proud. When asked of what she was most proud, she would reply "my family". An excellent cook, Carmela most loved the times when she prepared meals for family and friends. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was fondly known as Mema. After retiring from TransOk in 1991, Carmela devoted many hours volunteering. She began as an Ambassador for Tulsa International Airport for 12 years and then at St. Francis Hospital South, she accumulated over 5000 hours of volunteer service. She is survived by her daughters, Patti (Jack) Rackleff of Broken Arrow, Debbie (Gerald) Driggars of Tulsa, Sarah (Henry) Maxwell of Richardson, TX, son-in-law, Nick Calleo of Mineola, NY, grandchildren Toni (Dave) Lagasse of E. Williston, NY, Patrick (Jen) Calleo of NYC, Jamie (Jarrett) Thompson of Tulsa, Tyler (Sue) Rackleff of Tulsa, Justin (Chelsea) Rackleff of Tulsa and Katie Hemphill of Tulsa, great grandchildren Aidan, Stella & Everett Rackleff, Luke & Alex Lagasse, and Tegan Thompson. A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at Fitzgerald Southwood Chapel in Tulsa at 2:00pm on November 20, 2017. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Francis Hospice.
