Obituary
Carol Ann Kratky, 75, of Tulsa passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 11, 2014 while traveling in Ireland.
Carol was born in North Bend, Nebraska on October 27, 1938 to the late Alice and James Vojtech. She married Ronald Kratky on January 11, 1958.
Carol was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, devout Catholic, and member of the St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church community. She was the centerpiece of our family. Her passion and joy were creating celebrations for and doting on her children and grandsons. Carol loved to stay active, enjoyed cooking, entertaining and playing bridge with her friends. She also loved to travel. Carol will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Carol is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ron; her brother Dave Vojtech of Omaha, Nebraska; her sister Jan Hobza and her husband John of Omaha, Nebraska; her son Doug Kratky and his wife Sue of Kansas City, Missouri; her son Kevin Kratky and his wife Lori of Atlanta, Georgia; her daughter Ronda Dee and her husband Brian of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and her daughter Dawn Faulkner and her husband Taurus of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Carol is also survived by eight grandsons and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Lee Vojtech of Athens, Tennessee.
A prayer service was held Thursday, May 15 at St. Andrew's Church in Bagenalstown, Ireland by Father Declan Foley and attended by members of their compassionate community. A rosary service will be held at 7PM on Tuesday, May 20, at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church. The funeral will be held at 2PM on Wednesday, May 21, at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church. In lieu of sending flowers, the family would ask that donations be made in Carol's name either to Catholic Charities (Catholic Charities, Mission Advancement Office, P.O. Box 580460, Tulsa, OK 74158-0460) or to the local scouting organization in Bagenalstown (checks made out to "1st Bagenalstown, Baden Powell Scouting Group" and mailed to Garda Paul Hogan, Bagenalstown Garda Station, Kilree Street, Bagenalstown, Country Carlow, Ireland).
