Carol Renee Rozen Spritz, age 76, died peacefully from natural causes on January 5, 2019.  Carol was the daughter of the late Dr. Meyer and Dorothea Rozen of blessed memory. After graduating from Will Rogers High School, she attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated with a Bachelors in Education. Carol moved to the Kansas City area in 1965 and shortly after married Leon Spritz. She had a long career in education including 25 years as a dedicated kindergarten teacher for the KC, MO school district. She received her Masters in Education from the University of Kansas.  In 2000, she moved to Tulsa to care for Dorothea and worked with special needs children as a paraprofessional for the Tulsa Public Schools.

She is survived by her son, Wayne Spritz and his wife Joie of Swampscott, MA; her grandchildren, Jonah and Ailee; sister Brenda Rozen Katz and husband Jerry of Las Vegas, NV; niece Sari Katz Arshadnia of Las Vegas, NV, and nephew, Dr. Jeffrey Katz of Portland, OR. Carol will always be remembered for her love of and devotion to her family and the students she taught.

Funeral services will be at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery on Wednesday, January 9th at noon.  In lieu of flowers, a contribution to Congregation B'Nai Emunah would be welcome.
