Obituary

Charles L. Audrain, Jr., 86, passed away early Monday morning, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Miami, Oklahoma where he grew up and was educated. He enlisted in the Army in December 1946 and became a career soldier. He served many years as an enlisted man. Later he was commissioned and retired as Chief Warrant Officer.
During the Korean conflict he was a member of the famed 187 Airborne Regimental Combat Team and made the combat jump into Munsan-Ni on March 23, 1951. He also served in Vietnam. His last assignment on active duty was as an aide to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Margaret and 3 children; Molly Gille, Samuel and wife Barb, Matthew and wife Beverly, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 6 step-grandchildren and one sister, Mary Ann Berman. This is a family blest with a lifetime of so much love. We have lost our Hero.
