Obituary

Charles Joseph Fager, 85, died on October 9, 2013 in Tulsa OK. He was born on July 7, 1928 to the late Joseph and Theresa Fager of Tulsa OK.

Joe attended Marquette High School, St. Benedict's (now Benedictine College) and the University of Oklahoma where he was a member of Theta Kappa Phi Catholic Fraternity and received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. He served in the army for two years as a pharmacist at the Panama Canal. He returned and opened Fager Drug which he had for 5 years. He later worked for Scott Robinson's and finally Fager Pharmacy, which he owned for 21 years. He married his true love, Jean Wilkerson in 1954 and had four children.

Joe was a faithful member of St. Pius X Catholic Church where he served on various boards and committees, and was passionate about all athletics. Joe was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and spent his life taking care of his family and friends. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, golfing with friends, rooting for the Sooners and supporting Bishop Kelley High School. He also volunteered at Meals on Wheels and Day Center for the Homeless.

Joe is survived by his wife Jean; daughter Lisa Kirk, her husband Kevin and children Tommy and Mary, all of Tulsa; daughter Teresa Slagle and her husband Kurt, and their children Katie Slagle, Laura Kerr, Betsy Slagle and Danny Slagle, all of Tulsa; daughter Mary Pat Lambeth and her husband Danny and their children Emma and Allie Lambeth of Carthage, MO; and daughter Susan West and her husband John and their children Amy and Dayne West, of Tulsa, OK; and sister, Anna Mae Titus of Tulsa, OK. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Dietz of Milwaukee, WI; Dorothy Vernon of Mobile, AL; and Margaret Gorden of Tulsa, OK.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Marquette School RISE, 1519 S Quincy Ave, Tulsa, OK 74120; Bishop Kelley Endowment Trust, 3905 S Hudson Ave, Tulsa, OK 74135; or the St. Pius X Endowment Fund, 1727 S 75th East Ave, Tulsa, OK 74112.

Rosary will be Sunday, 7:00 p.m., and Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, 10:00 a.m., both at St. Pius Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Tulsa.
