Obituary
Charlotte Kerpon, 75 of Tulsa passed peacefully in her sleep October 31st after a long battle with cancer.
Charlotte was born September 23, 1941 in New Haven, KY to Charles and Mabel Cecil. She was the second of 9 children, 4 sisters (Mary Ann, Denise, Aggie, Cathy) and 4 brothers (Ed, Bobby, Fred, Danny).
Charlotte received her nursing degree from St. Joseph's Infirmary in Louisville, KY, and spent her life as an RN helping people. She retired from St. Francis after 28 years, and continued to volunteer at St. Francis until her illness prevented her.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband Bill Zimmerman; parents Charles and Mabel; and brothers Danny and Bobby. She is survived by her husband Nick; children Ellen, Wes, Matthew, Erik; step-children Tom, Theresa, Jim, John, and David; and 12 grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Thursday from 6pm to 7pm with the prayer service at 7pm, and the funeral mass will be held Friday, 3pm. Visitation and services will be at Church of the Resurrection (4804 South Fulton Ave).
The family would like to express a profound thank you to her oncologist Dr. Scott Cole for his expert care over the last 4.5 years, as well to the dozens of other doctors, nurses and medical specialists.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
