Obituary

Christopher Cooper was born to Casey and Irene Cooper in Tulsa, Oklahoma on May 10,  1976 and left this world on August 8, 2016.

In his youth, Chris was a renowned state athlete and played soccer, baseball, and track, and he excelled most notably in basketball and competed in many national tournaments.

At the age of 7, Chris made his first trip to Europe, spending several weeks with his family hiking across the mountains of Switzerland, as well as Saint Tropez in the French Riviera. These destinations became an annual tradition for the entire family for over a decade, and these vacations marked some of Chris's most cherished memories with his family. Switzerland was Chris's second home during his childhood and teen years.

Chris also loved spending time at the family's weekend home on Grand Lake, fishing, swimming, riding four wheelers and boating with friends. He enjoyed countless Fourth of July holidays shooting off fireworks over the lake, at his family's traditional holiday gatherings, with many friends and relatives,

Chris graduated from Bishop Kelley High School in 1994 and attended Westminster University in Fulton, Missouri where he joined the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.

Chris was always a versatile and adept individual and spent years working as a machinist in the petroleum engineering field in Oklahoma and continued on to be a supervisor in large scale mechanical manufacturing in later years.

Chris always enjoyed traveling and nature and lived and worked in several other states during his life. He was particularly fond of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where he worked at the Grand Teton Lodge and developed a great appreciation for the purity of its wilderness and peaceful mountain life.

Chris was a kind and generous spirit, and was always ready to help a friend in need, day or night. He possessed an infectious cheerful attitude and had an incredible ability to make others laugh and smile with him. Chris was loved by many everywhere he went and always had large groups of friends that cherished his company and kindness. He was a natural leader and spent some years of his life volunteering for a humanitarian organization, which helped change hundreds of lives, and will forever be remembered by those he touched.

He is survived by: his mother Irene Cooper; his father Casey Cooper; his sister Kimberly Cooper; his son Kaden Brooks; and his fiancé Sally Fullam; his uncles Michael Cooper, Harry Evans, and Tom Dale; his aunts Patricia Dale, Patti Cooper, and Marlene Evans; and his cousins Andrea Deason, Christine Hancock, Allison Woukon, Jeanine Evans, Clarissa Evans, Amanda Smith, Melinda Lusk, and Tim Dale.
