Christopher David Corcoran, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday July 26th, 2014, at his home.
Christopher was born on February 17th, 1960 to Robert and Helen Corcoran. He spent a majority of his life in Tulsa attending Marquette, Cascia Hall and earned the right to graduate from Nathan Hale High School. He went on to earn an Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy from Tulsa Junior College. He spent many years working in Home Care and at both St. John and Hillcrest Hospitals. When he wasn't helping the people of Tulsa breathe easier, he would spend his time building and programming computers. Later in life, he turned this hobby into a second career, earning a number of certifications in Computer Sciences. Chris enjoyed playing baseball and took on the role of coaching several of his sons' baseball teams. He was also an avid gardener and was known to share the excesses from his garden with neighbors.
Christopher is survived by his mother Helen Corcoran; his three sons Nick Corcoran, Adam Corcoran, and Kyle Corcoran of Tulsa; his sisters Barbara Progar of Houston and Constance Potter of Tulsa; his brothers John Corcoran of Joplin and Chuck Corcoran of Houston; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Corcoran, his sister, Elizabeth Red Corn, and his brother, Thomas Corcoran.
Services will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Tulsa starting with a Rosary to be held in his honor on Wednesday, July 30th at 7pm and the funeral and celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, July 31st at 9am with Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Tulsa. All are invited to join the family on both days.
