Christopher Campbell Tilley was born on August 12, 1964 to James Byron Tilley II and Joe Anne Cummings Tilley in Wilmette, IL. The youngest of his five siblings, Chris was quick of wit, sweet and loving. Chris's special interest in culinary arts led to a long career in food service and a constant challenge to further master these skills in his personal life. Chris worked as a regional manager in Chicago before moving to Tulsa to continue on that career track for the McNellie's Group and Ti Amo Ristorante Italiano. Diagnosed with liver disease several years ago, Chris was considered a model patient by his physicians, who frequently shared their praise as well as their desire that others were as committed. Despite his diligence, Chris succumbed to an aggressive cancer on Sunday, December 4th.
Chris is preceded in death by his parents, James and Joe Anne. For his compassion, thoughtfulness and courageous spirit, he is dearly missed by a close circle of friends, old and new, as well as his extensive family of his siblings and their spouses, Beth (Doug), Laurie (Al), Kim (Peter), and Jay (Carol); a multitude of nieces and nephews, Andrew, Daniel (Jenny), Kevin (Gloria), Cameron (Cheyenne), Sarah (KT), Caitlin, Jase (Cindy), Jacob, and Jonah; and great niece and great nephews, Grace, Gabriel and Vincent.
Rest in peace, sweet Christopher.
