Clifford Earl Stout Jr. 87, of Broken Arrow, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 27th. He was born December 27, 1938 in Oklahoma City, Ok. He lived his entire life in Oklahoma.
He is survived by his wife of forty-three years Carolyn Stout. Children: daughter Vicki Stout Shirley, son Mark Stout, daughter-in-law Christine Stout, son Matt Stout, daughter-in-law Karen Stout. His grandchildren: Bradley Shirley, Amy Stout, Sydney Stout, Elizabeth Stout. His great-grandchild, Grace Stout. He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford Earl Stout Sr. and Leva Lee Stout. His sister Dorothy Stout Jordan, stepson Michael Davis and grandson William Colburn.
He demonstrated a strong work ethic, successfully completing a Bachelor's degree in business while raising a family. He was in the Grocery business for over 50 years, starting as a teenager, he worked as a clerk at the local Humpty Dumpty. With dogged perseverance he worked his way up to Executive Sales Manager for McIlhenny; before that Griffin Foods; and before that Donaldson and Day.
He had the "gift of gab", which made him a successful salesman.
If he liked you, he would tease you and you would find yourself lucky for it.
He was an avid reader, when his vision allowed. One of his favorites was The Adventures of Huck Finn by Mark Twain, which he read repeatedly.
He enjoyed studying history and read many books about WWII.
He loved his family, especially his momma and relished big get-togethers with family and friends. We won't know how to do it without him.
Cliff "Buddy" was loved by many, he was the type of man that would make you smile just by the mere thought of him.
