Clint Kenneth Whisenhunt passed away peacefully in his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Monday, August 17, 2026, at the age of 76. His beloved wife of 56 years was by his side, caring for him as he peacefully fell asleep and entered the gates of heaven.

Clint was born on October 3, 1949, to Lola Kathryn Traylor and Cherry Kenneth Whisenhunt in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Edison High School and earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Tulsa. It was while attending the University of Tulsa that he met his wife, Rebecca Anne Pullin. They married on December 29, 1970, beginning a beautiful 56-year journey together.

Clint and Rebecca welcomed their first two children, Jennifer Anne and Max Jay, in 1971 and 1974. After graduating from the University of Tulsa, Clint began his career with Helmerich & Payne. He spent time working in the oil fields in Meade, Kansas, before being offered a position in Anaco, Venezuela. Together, the family moved to South America, living first in Anaco, then Santa Cruz, Bolivia, and eventually returning to Anaco. In 1983, they returned to Tulsa, where Clint assumed the position of Vice President of International Operations. His career took him around the world, and he spent much of his time traveling to countries across the globe. He shared his love of travel and adventure with his family, and together they made many wonderful memories on trips over the years. Among their travels were England, Scotland, Italy, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, as well as countless trips back home to visit family. No matter how far they traveled, family always remained at the heart of their lives.

Much to everyone's surprise and delight, Kathryn Nell was born in 1987, followed by Joanna Elaine in 1989. Clint was a devoted father who loved his children deeply and took great pride in his family. His children and grandchildren brought him immense joy, and he treasured the time they shared together. He loved watching his family grow and was happiest when everyone was together. Whether gathered around the dinner table, traveling the world, or simply spending time at home, Clint cherished the memories they made together. He was the kind of dad and grandfather who brought warmth, laughter, and a little bit of mischief wherever he went.

A numbers guy and a list guy - meticulous, organized, and fiercely dependable - he excelled at H&P and brought that same attention to detail to every part of life. On his last morning with us, he was at the kitchen island with his coffee and water, making lists, just as he had always done. He was a devoted Cardinals fan, loved puzzles and the satisfaction of solving them, always wanted Rebecca by his side, and took great pride in grilling for family and friends. He found joy in the simple things, in doing things well, and in sharing them with the people he loved.

Clint always made an impression. A natural jokester, he had a gift for making people laugh and could bring humor to almost any situation. He was larger than life, with a quick wit, a generous heart, and a personality that people remembered long after meeting him. Those who knew Clint will remember his laughter, his stories, his sense of adventure, and his ability to make everyone around him feel welcome. He brought joy to the lives of so many, and his presence will be deeply missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Chuck, and his daughter, Joanna. Losing Joanna in 2006 was one of the deepest sorrows of his life, and we find comfort in knowing that they are finally reunited. We imagine Clint being greeted in heaven with open arms by those he loved, and picture them dancing, laughing, and enjoying being together once again.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Rebecca; his sister, Catherine Sue (husband Mike Yox); his children, Jennifer (husband Adam White), Max (wife Lenka Rehanzel), and Katy (husband Bruce Townsend); and his grandchildren, Jackson Cole, Benjamin Jay, Magdalena May, Annabelle Sue, Reid Kenneth, Jonah Rex, and Desmond Carlyle.

A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 3:00-6:00 p.m., and a memorial service will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Both services will be held at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 3612 E. 91st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
