In Loving Memory of Coby Vince Denton

May 4, 1950 - July 3, 2026

Coby V. Denton, 76 of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Coby was born May 4, 1950 in Kansas City. Missouri. His family moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma when he was 3. He graduated from College High School in 1968 and attended Northeastern State College, graduated in 1972. He built a successful career in the metal distribution industry, where his dedication and strong work ethic earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike. He was a steel salesman at heart after working 40 plus years in the industry and retiring as part ownership in Midwest Metals. He was known for his outgoing personality, crave of continuous learning, travel, and love of family especially his grandchildren and all Debbie's Allen cousins.

While he worked hard throughout his life, his greatest joy was always his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie Denton of 53 years, his daughter, Jennifer Wilkinson of Plano, Texas, and his son, Douglas Denton and wife Carisa of Collinsville, Oklahoma and grandchildren Landon Baker, Carson Baker of Plano, Texas, Derrick Martinez and Bennie Denton of Collinsville, Oklahoma. Also his brothers Kelly Denton of Leavenworth Ks and Kyle Denton of Bixby Ok .He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy V. Denton and Beulah Mae (Shorty) Denton of Bartlesville, OK.

He embraced life's moments with quiet appreciation and a generous heart. Those who knew him will remember his steady presence, his kindness, and the genuine love he had for the people closest to him.

One of the final pieces of wisdom Coby shared was simple but enduring. "Don't sweat the small stuff". Those words reflected the perspective with which he lived his life and will continue to serve as a lasting reminder to those who love him. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his legacy lives on through the love he gave, the memories he created and the example he set for his family.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday July 7, 2026 at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel in Tulsa and Mass of Christian Burial at Church of the Resurrection in Tulsa with Father Steven Austin officiating, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday July 8, 2026 with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
