Cornelius Albert Henderson, Jr., (C.A; Neil) was born in St. Joseph, Missouri, on January 9, 1921, to Cornelius and Martha Henderson. They moved to Kansas City where Neil went to Holy Name High School and Rockhurst College before serving in the Navy as Lt. Jr. Grade in World War II. Neil moved to Cleveland, Ohio, in 1949. He met and married the love of his life, Mary H. Smith, in 1950. They had 5 daughters. He worked at Cities Service Company and Occidental Petroleum. He is survived by his daughters: Paula Henderson and husband Randall J. Wood, Christine Wassil, Lisa Stearns, Nancy Jiles and husband Gregory, and Lynn Hilst and husband Jeffrey; and 11 grandchildren whom he loved dearly. Visitation 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday, June 20, 2011, at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Church of the Madalene. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at Church of the Madalene. Friends can honor Neil's memory with contributions to Church of the Madalene.
