Man of God, greatly loved husband, beloved son and father—
Craig Matthew Birks was born at the Normandy hospital in St. Louis, Missouri on May 17, 1971. He was exceptional from birth, known for his larger than life size and larger than life heart. He loved God and he loved people.
After receiving a miraculous healing that restored his body, Craig rededicated his life to God. He embarked on a journey to serve God with all of his heart, all his soul, and all his mind, focused on doing the last thing God told him to do, which was to go to Bible College in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Along the way, Craig received the kingdom wife he asked of God. Craig truly longed to have a covenant marriage and frequently stated his desire to be a husband who leads his wife as Christ leads the church. He truly exemplified that in every way.
On January 19, 2020, Craig went to be with the Lord while doing his favorite thing at his favorite place with his favorite person – serving at Victory church with his wife. Craig is survived by his wife Delsie, parents – Barbara and Darrell Birks and Michael Sandefer, son – Thomas Walton, and siblings – Oren Birks, Curtis Birks, and Amber Erbe as well as a large extended family. He will be missed by all who knew him and his joyous, loving, generous nature and the way his faith led him in everything he did.
Memorial services will be on January 30, 2020 at the First Floor Chapel at Victory Christian Center, 7700 S Lewis Ave, Tulsa, OK 74136, at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made towards his funeral expenses.
