Curtis Sherwin Green passed away Monday, July 18, 2016. He is survived by: his wife of 63 years, Joan Green; his children, Robin, Susan (Robert Ring), Judy (John Kilyk), and Marilyn (David Rebnord); his beloved grandchildren, Daniel, Marissa, Jacob and Steven; his brother, Michael Green; sister, Eleanor (Nancy Fisher), and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
Curtis was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1927, the son of Robert and Minnie Green. Curtis' attendance at MIT, where he earned a degree in Business and Engineering Administration and Chemical Engineering in 1948, was interrupted by a stint in the US Navy, where he was stationed on an aircraft carrier off the coast of Korea.
Curtis was a successful independent oil and gas producer. Over the years, Curtis also served the Jewish Community in a number of capacities, including as president of the Tulsa Jewish Retirement and Health Care Center, president of the Tulsa Jewish Federation and president of Congregation B'nai Emunah.
Friends may honor Curtis' memory with contributions to the Tulsa Jewish Retirement and Health Care Center.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Congregation B'nai Emunah. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
