Dal wrote the above obituary several years ago, here only slightly updated to respect his wishes. In addition, his family wants to express his (and our) deep love and appreciation for friends and neighbors, including the priests and the community at the Church of St Mary's. You made his life so much richer with your friendship and support, including countless rides to and from Mass (and stops for pancakes and errands on the way home). He often said he was very thankful for the people in his life and spoke of you often. Thanks also to his home caregivers, as well as the staff at St Francis Hospital, Montereau skilled nursing and St Francis Hospice for their care in his final weeks.
