Daniel Lee Stine, 45, passed away on Monday, September 9th, 2024, in Tulsa, OK. Born on March 27th, 1979, in Kettering, OH, to Bradley Keith and Patricia Sue Stine, Dan grew up in Tulsa, OK, where his infectious humor and boundless energy touched all who knew him.
Dan attended Rhema Bible Training Center, graduating in 1999. During those years, he formed lasting friendships, embarked on countless adventures, and created cherished memories that remained with him throughout his life. Whether it was late-night skating at Rhema, attending legendary "Stine Parties", taking trips to the mountains or simply spending time with friends, Dan's joy for life was contagious, and the fun never stopped when he was around.
He had a unique gift for sharing his faith, always pointing others toward God with a warmth and understanding few could match. One of his social media posts summed up his outlook perfectly: "You know what the real answer to all the angst, uncertainty, and hopelessness is? It's a relationship with God." Dan never gave up on people. Proverbs 18:24 says, "There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother," and for many, Dan was that friend.
In 1982, Dan's parents, Brad and Sue Stine, founded Crown Furniture, a family business that Dan grew up around. By 2000, Dan and his siblings were part of the company, shaping its legacy and future. The connections and relationships Dan built through Crown were some of the most meaningful in his life. His heart and soul went into the company, ensuring that his influence would forever be woven into the fabric of Crown's story.
A natural inventor, Dan's mind was always at work. He created several unique inventions, including "Major Scratch," a tool designed in 1997 at the age of 18 that removed scratches from CDs-right at the height of their popularity. This invention brought him early success.
Music was one of Dan's greatest passions. He cherished the sounds of legends like Johnny Cash, U2, Bob Dylan, and Chris Stapleton. Dan was a true aficionado, with a deep love for collecting vintage radios, attending concerts around the world, and discovering unique, one-of-a-kind pieces of art. His enthusiasm for music and culture was a reflection of his vibrant spirit and insatiable curiosity.
Dan is survived by his mother, Patricia Sue Stine, and his siblings: Julie Carol Moss (and her husband Travis Eugene, and son Michael Travis), Robin Sue Blonsky (and her husband Craig Michael, and their children Leanna Shawn and Grace Christian), and David Allen Stine (and his wife Jamie Sue and their children David Tyler, Gabriella "Ellie" Sue, and Jacob Daniel), all residing in Tulsa.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bradley Keith Stine, his paternal grandparents Willard Everett Stine and Willma June Stine, and his maternal grandparents Leo Edwin Beckwith and Ruby Faye Beckwith.
