Obituary

Daniel "Dan" Curtis LeMay was born on August 14, 1953, to James and Dolores LeMay in Washington, D.C. He passed away January 8, 2026, with his wife, Susan, by his side.

Dan grew up in Houston, TX. Some of Dan's favorite childhood memories include building forts in the side of the gully behind the house and hanging with friends, playing tackle football in the rain, catching flyballs hit by his father, and eating his father's "moon crater" muffins. He also enjoyed bowling as a teen and was very proud of his high score of 283!

Dan attended Hollibrook Elementary School and St. Jerome Catholic School. Dan graduated from Spring Woods High School in 1971 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Houston in 1978.

Dan managed full-service restaurants/bars between 1973 and 1985. Dan relocated from Houston to Dallas in 1980 and left the restaurant field in 1986 to work in a health food business. In 1989, Dan found his calling in the real estate investment business. Dan enjoyed the fruits of self-employment and was actively engaged in real estate for the remainder of his life.

Dan met his wife Susan on a ski trip in Steamboat Springs, CO in 2006. They enjoyed a 7-year long distance relationship between Texas and California before relocating to Tulsa in 2013. They married on the 9-year anniversary of their first date in 2015. Together, Dan and Susan focused on living a very active lifestyle including hiking, cycling, yoga, gym activities, and their favorite activity, snow skiing. They would go on several ski trips every year, connecting with their many ski friends. The Back Bowls of Vail was his favorite place to ski. He also loved classic rock. Music was always playing in the house, except during football season when professional football games were on.
Dan was an extremely kind and generous man who deeply loved his wife, parents, siblings, extended family, and friends.

Dan was preceded in death by his father, James Russell "Russ" LeMay, and mother, Dolores "Dee" Rismondo LeMay (Houston, TX). Dan is survived by his wife Susan Williams (Tulsa, OK), his aunt, Jean Jones (League City, TX) and five brothers: Glenn LeMay (Sabattus, ME), his twin Michael LeMay and wife Diane LeMay (Dunedin, FL), Craig LeMay and wife Marjan Roos (Cypress, TX), Kirk LeMay and wife Dianne LeMay (Houston, TX), and Keith LeMay and wife Dianne Calder (Austin, TX); and six nieces and nephews: Michael LeMay (Bay City, TX), Lindsay Greene (Pleasantville, TN), Brittany LeMay (Livermore, CA), Lincoln Reeves (Cleveland, TX), Connor LeMay (Huntsville, TX), and Scarlet Petrucci (Waco, TX).

A party to celebrate Dan will be held on Saturday, January 31, from 4:00 -8:00 PM, at the home of Dan and Susan. To honor Dan, please consider going for a walk outdoors and enjoy nature's beauty.
