Obituary

Daniel Foshee Mead was born on June 20, 1948 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Roy Mead, Jr. and Mary Foshee Mead. He graduated from Edison High School in 1966. He attended Northeastern State College.

Dan married MaDonna Quinton on February 15, 1986. They had two children, Adam Quinton Mead (wife Kellye) and Andrew (Drew) Roy Mead. They have five grandchildren, Mckenna Mead, Kaylee Mead, Hunter Mead, Blakely Mead, and Saylor Mead.

Dan's career began at Mercantile Bank in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He then worked for an auction company based in Dallas, Texas that transferred him to Alaska for a few years and later to Saudi Arabia where he worked for a few more years, He then returned to the United States in 1983. He worked for Fred Jones Ford and Don Carlton Honda Car Dealerships. He worked for General Steel for a couple of years and he and 2 other investors took over General Steel and renamed it as ECC. In 1998 he went to work for the Tulsa County Assessor as an appraiser. He retired in 2011.

Dan will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and for his unwavering support of his sons and grandchildren. He loved attending any sporting event they participated in and took immense pride in each of them. It wouldn't take long after meeting Dan before he would be telling you all about how talented his sons and grandchildren were. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, and they were truly his greatest joy.
