Rev. Daniel A. Perlinski
May 17, 1926 - June 24, 2012
Rev. Daniel A. Perlinski (86) died peacefully at Franciscan Villa, Broken Arrow, Sunday, June 24, on the Solemnity of the Birth of St. John the Baptist. Since his ordination On June 1, 1957, Father Dan served in various parishes throughout Eastern Oklahoma. His last two pastorates before retirement in 1996 were St. Cecilia Parish in Claremore and the Church of the Madalene in Tulsa. Worthy of note is that Father Perlinski was State Chaplain for the Knights of Columbus for a 10-year period. He was also a Knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre.
During his retirement, Father Dan continued to be active in his priestly ministry throughout the diocese especially by hearing confessions and celebrating Mass.
Father Perlinski is survived by two cousins who live out of state - Mary King and Charlotte Wentland.
There will be a liturgical wake service on Wednesday, June 27, at 7 p.m., at the Church of the Madalene. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 28, at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Cathedral, followed immediately by interment at Calvary Cemetery.
