Danior Paul Ruben, age 74, passed away on May 19, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on July 12, 1950, in Pensacola, Florida, to Robert and Dorothy Ruben.
Paul attended Pensacola High School, where he began building the foundation for his future. After high school, he proudly served in the United States Army as part of the 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment in the 82nd Airborne Division. Following his military service, Paul pursued higher education at the Spartan School of Aeronautics.
Eventually, Paul found his true calling in real estate sales, traveling across the United States and selling what he proudly called the "best deals." His work took him to many places, but his heart always guided him back to family, faith and outdoors.
Paul lived a life guided by a strong faith in God, finding comfort and strength in his relationship with the Lord. This faith carried him through life's joys and challenges.
He had a deep passion for sports, especially football and baseball, and cherished time spent outdoors with his children, whether at the field or playing catch. One of his greatest joys was fishing, whether on his beloved Pensacola Beach, at a local creek, river or pond.
Paul will be remembered for his infectious sense of humor. While he could be cantankerous at times, his generous heart, full of love and kindness, shone through. He was always ready for a good laugh, a fishing trip, a cold "tasty," or precious moments spent with family and friends.
Paul is survived by his children: Shane Ruben, Jason Ruben, Bryon Ruben, Angela Ruben, and Melissa Perkins. Grandchildren: Shane Ruben, Brock Ruben, Cade Ruben, Gage Ruben, Lauren Ruben, Blake Ruben, Lydia Ruben, JP Ruben, Chase Ruben, Kylee Riggs, Damian Smith, and Aiden Smith.

A pillar stood, a heart of gold,
A father strong, stories untold.
His love for family, pure and true,
A bond so strong, forever shining through.
With rod and reel, he'd cast his line,
Fishing tales, a memory divine.
The crack of bat, the roar of crowd,
Baseball and football, his passions proud.
He'd gather all, a family crew,
Together they'd laugh, memories anew.
Shrimp boils and nights, under starry skies,
Pensacola beaches, where memories rise.
Vail, his sweet baby girl, by his side,
Tail wagging, love that wouldn't subside.
He'd cherish every moment, every test,
A father's love, forever etched in our chest.
Though he's gone, his legacy remains,
A love for family, a heart that sustains.
In our hearts, his memory stays,
A strong father, in every way.
His spirit lives, in every tale,
Of fishing trips, and sports we'd hail.
In Pensacola's sun, and shrimp-filled nights,
We'll remember him, with all our might.
